Wingate's Ciaccia Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Camilla Ciaccia has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during the eighth week of the 2021 season, the Conference announced today.

Ciaccia, a junior from Desenzano Del Garda, Italy, led the No. 15 Bulldogs to a 3-0 record last week. She did not drop a set at No. 2 singles defeating opponents from Lenoir-Rhyne, Tusculum and Carson-Newman. Ciaccia also went 2-1 at No. 2 doubles with partner Jessica Ruetten. The duo picked up a 6-4 win against Lenoir-Rhyne and another 6-4 win versus Carson-Newman.

This is Ciaccia's first Player of the Week selection this season.
