Wingate's Ciaccia Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Camilla Ciaccia has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during the final week of the 2021 season, the Conference announced today. 

Ciaccia, a junior from Desenzano Del Garda, Italy, led the No. 15 Bulldogs to a 7-0 sweep of Catawba last week and in the process captured their ninth regular season title in the last 10 years. She went undefeated at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles in the match. Along with partner Elena Gunfaus they won 6-0 in doubles and she won 6-2, 6-1 in singles.

This is Ciaccia's second Player of the Week selection this season.
