Tusculum's Howe Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum's Tabitha Howe has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week seven of the 2023 season, the Conference announced today.
Howe, a senior from Sevenoaks England, went undefeated on the week for the Pioneers, picking up three singles wins, and three doubles wins. Howe and doubles partner Paulina Loretz picked up a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles versus Lincoln Memorial, a 6-2 win versus Limestone, and a 6-4 win versus UVA Wise. At No. 2 Singles, Howe picked up a straight-set victory against Lincoln Memorial, winning 6-3, 6-0, she captured a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 victory against Limestone, and she picked up another straight-set victory in her match against UVA Wise, winning 6-2, 6-2. With these victories, Howe has helped lead Tusculum to a winning streak of five consecutive matches.
