The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for events during this past weekend of the 2019-20 season. Tusculum earned the track honors with Hachlaine Petit and Queens gathered the field honors with Jennifer Koehne.
A sophomore sprinter, Petit set a SAC indoor record for the 400-meter race with a time of 57.05 this past weekend. She then went on to compete in the 4x400 relay that broke another indoor SAC record, with a time of 3:51.76. This is Petit's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.
A freshman multi-competitor, Koehne, competed in the long jump where she recorded a DII provisional mark of 6.10-meters. She finished third overall and now holds the second best mark in Royals history while also ranking second nationally. This is Koehne's second Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
