The South Atlantic Conference Announces Final Astroturf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its final AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for events during this past weekend of the 2019-20 season. Tusculum earned the track honors with Nicole McMillen and Lenoir-Rhyne gathered the field honors with Autumn Drayton.

A graduate student distance runner, McMillen broke three more conference records running the mile in 4:53.57 this past weekend, which helped land her a spot on the NCAA provisional qualifying list. McMillen has now set school and conference records as well as provisionally qualified for nationals in the 3000 and 5000 meters earlier this season. This is McMillen's third Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.

A senior thrower Drayton, finished first and broke the Lenoir-Rhyne women's weight throw record with a toss of 16.87m (55'-4.25"). This is Drayton's second consecutive Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
