The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets held this last week. Anderson's Brianna Quartararo took the track honor while Wingate took the field honor with Danielle Crawford.

A sophomore distance runner, Quartararo, competed in the CIU Rams Invitational this past Saturday, where she broke the 600m school record by running a time of 1:38.31 earning a second-place finish. She went on to place first in the 4x400m team relay and second in the 400m race. This is Quartararo's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season. 

A sophomore thrower, Crawford, competed in the Brant Tolsma Invitational where she won the shot-put event with a throw of 13.35 meters. Crawford's 13.35-meter toss is the number one shot put mark in the SAC this season. This is Crawford's first Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
