Queens Sweeps South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honors
Queens’ Asia Hart has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, and Queens’ Ella Fox has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for meets contested April 2-8, the League office announced today.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens' Asia Hart has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, and Queens' Ella Fox has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for meets contested April 2-8, the League office announced today.
Hart, a senior from Hoover, Ala., turned in a second place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational with a time of 1:05.81. She also placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 14.87.
Fox, a graduate student from Sellersville, Pa., earned an NCAA provisional mark when she won the javelin competition at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational last week. She threw 43.20 meters and is now ranked No. 17 in NCAA Division II and is No.2 in the SAC.
These are the first athlete of the week honors for both Hart and Fox.
