McMillen qualifies for NCAA Division II finals in steeplechase
KINGSVILLE, Texas --- Tusculum University senior Nicole McMillen qualified for the finals in the women's steeplechase at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships following her performance in Thursday's preliminaries at Javelina Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M Kingsville.
McMillen automatically qualified for Friday's finals with a third-place finish in her heat in a time of 10:58.33. She and 11 other runners will compete in the finals on Friday at 8:15 p.m. Eastern. FULL RECAP
Royals Complete Day 1 of NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships
KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Royals opened competition at the 2019 NCAA DII Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships today making appearances in four events.
Elise Hoel Ulseth completed the first half of the heptathlon competition in 12th place with a score of 2,898. The freshman collected 909 points in the 100-meter hurdles after recording a time of 14.50-seconds. She then picked up 678 points in the high jump with a mark of 1.55-meters before earning 548 points in the shot put with a mark of 10.29-meters. Competition in the event wrapped for the day with the 200-meter dash where Ulseth was able to add 763 points to her total recording a time of 26.39-seconds. FULL RECAP
