Wingate Earns Top Spot in NCAA Southeast Regional, Anderson and LMU Earn At-Large Bids

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Three South Atlantic Conference women's volleyball teams have earned bids to the 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Southeast Regional, the NCAA announced Sunday, November 11.

No. 24 ranked Wingate was tabbed as the No. 1 seed in the region, along with being a host institution. The Bulldogs also earned the conference's automatic qualifier with their SAC tournament championship on Saturday (Nov. 9). Anderson was placed in the No. 4 position. Lincoln Memorial earned the No. 7 seed after their runner-up performance in the SAC tournament championship.

Regional games will take place Nov. 15-18 on the campuses of participating institutions. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Nov. 29 and semifinals for Nov. 30 at the A.J. Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The DII women's volleyball championship match will be played Dec. 1 at the A.J. Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as part of the 2018 DII Festival.
