Wingate's Orrock Named South Atlantic Conference Astroturf Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the third week of the 2021 season. Wingate's Lara Orrock was named runner of the week.

 

Orrock, a junior from Bloemfontein, South Africa won the Converse Kickoff on Saturday, posting a season-best 6K time of 21:43.3. Orrock won by nine seconds, besting a field of 208 runners. Overall, the Bulldogs finished fourth out of 23 schools. This is Orrock's second Runner of the Week honor this season.
