The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, Oct. 5

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens' goalkeeper Tori Danchak has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Sept. 28 – Oct. 4, the League announced today.

Danchak, a senior from Coral Springs, Fla., completed her fourth shutout last week, holding off regionally fourth-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne 1-0 in League play. The Royals victory over the Bears marked the first time Queens has beaten the team since joining the SAC. Danchak recorded four saves during the match, bringing her to a season total of 53, ranking her third in the League. With a save percentage of .841, she ranks second in the SAC as well as fourth in GAA at 1.06 and goals against with 10.  The award marks her first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
