Wingate's Miscenko Named AstroTurf SAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate forward Marta Miscenko has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 8-14, the League announced today.

Miscenko led the Bulldogs to victories over Lenoir-Rhyne and Carson-Newman last week. The senior from Riga, Latvia, averaged 24.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 66.7 percent from the field and 68 percent from the free throw line for the week. She scored a career high 31 points in Wingate's 68-51 win over Lenoir-Rhyne, and recorded her 21^st career double-double, with 18 points and 10 rebounds, in the Bulldog's 68-54 win over No. 4 Carson-Newman.

This is Miscenko's second Player of the Week selection this year.
