The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Feb. 20

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate forward Josh Dominguez has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 13-19, the League announced today.

Dominguez, a senior from Matthews, N.C., averaged 20 points per game and shot 60 percent from the floor to lead the Bulldogs to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week. He got his week going with 18 points on 83 percent shooting in Wingate's 98-79 win over Coker on Feb. 15.  Dominguez also chipped in three boards and an assist against the Cobras.  Three days later against Carson-Newman, he poured in 22 points as he cashed in on 7-of-14 field goals, including 3-of-6 from deep to go along with seven assists and five rebounds in a 90-79 win.  Dominguez has scored in double-digits in his last eight games as the Bulldogs have won 15 of their last 16 contests.  The award is his first Player of the Week selection this season.
