The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, Oct. 26
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate goalkeeper Alexis Jones and Queens forward Charlotte Ring have been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Co-Women's Soccer Players of the Week for games played Oct. 19-25, the League announced today.
Ring, a freshman from Schwerin, Germany, posted two goals and one assist in a week that saw the Royals go 2-0 and move into fourth place in the SAC. In a 2-0 shutout against No. 6 Anderson, Ring scored the game-winner and chipped in an assist. Ring also scored the game-winning goal in Queens' 4-1 victory over Coker. The win marked the Royals' sixth League victory in a row. The freshman ranks in the top ten in the SAC in goals at sixth and Conference only goals at third. The award is Rings' second Player of the Week honor this season.
