The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Jan. 4

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne guard Keenan Palmore has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 21-Jan. 3, the League announced today.

Palmore, a senior from Stone Mountain, Ga., posted his third triple-double of the year as he finished with 22 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds in a 94-68 win over Belmont Abbey on Jan. 2.  He connected on 53 percent from the floor to go along with 6-of-7 from the line.  He came away with eight boards on the defensive glass and added a pair of offensive rebounds.  Palmore also chipped in two steals in the win.  On the year, he averages a team-best 20.2 points per outing and leads the League in helpers with 8.3 assists per contest.  The award marks his third Player of the Week honor this season.
