The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Feb. 1

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – No. 7 Lincoln Memorial guard Luquon Choice has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 25-31, the League announced today.

Choice, a junior from Laurens, S.C., averaged 26.5 points per game, including a 38 point performance at Carson-Newman to lead the Railsplitters to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  Against the Eagles on Jan. 27, Choice connected on 10-of-17 from downtown and 64 percent from the floor to fuel Lincoln Memorial to a 100-89 win over rival Carson-Newman.  Choice also chipped in four rebounds, two assists and a block against the Eagles.  Three days later vs. Lenoir-Rhyne, he put in 15 points to go along with two rebounds, two helpers, three steals and a block.  Choice currently leads the South Atlantic Conference with 68 triples on the year and ranks No. 2 on the LMU roster with 17 points per outing.  The honor is his second Player of the Week plaudit this season.
