The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Feb. 29

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne guard Keenan Palmore has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 22-28, the League announced today.

Palmore, a senior from Stone Mountain, Ga., averaged 30 points per game to lead the Bears to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week, including a win over then No. 7 Queens.  Palmore got his week started with 36 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and one steal as Lenoir-Rhyne picked up a big 94-90 SAC overtime win at Queens on Feb. 24.  Three days later against Mars Hill, Palmore stayed hot with 24 points on 10-of-13 from the field, one from long range and three from the line in a 106-87 win over the Lions.  He also chipped in 11 rebounds, five helpers and one steal in the win.  Palmore shot 72 percent from the floor in the two-game span.

Palmore currently tops the South Atlantic Conference with 22 points, 9.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists per outing.  The honor is his fourth Player of the Week plaudit this season.
